help with vertigo tarot

I just got a Vertigo Tarot, which I believe is quite beautiful, and I really wanted to try and do some readings with it. But I'm a beginner really and my book on Tarot concerns the Rider deck, with many different cards and explanations. Pollack's book leaves me wanting for more, it's not very clear sometimes so I wondered if anyone knew about some book that could be compatible with the approach on this deck (even some other book by R. Pollack)?
Thanx

Just read every damn thing you can get your hot little mits on. And I mean- everything. Get the Quabbalah under your belt. Learn the history.

Do regular spreads. Keep a diary, describing what card went where and any images and ideas that came to you while you were reading the cards.

Meditate using the cards as a focus. See what pops up in your mind.

Trust yourself.

For more on Pollack's take on tarot, seek out her book Seventy-Eight Degrees of Wisdom--originally published in two volumes, recently (1999) reissued in a trade paperback omnibus edition. Should still be in print...
