In light of the recent tragedy, I wish to make a suggestion to those who follow the Tarot, and that is to meditate upon the star card.
The tower- ruled by Mars (which is assigned to tuesday) of course means destruction- sudden and complete. (brrr.)The star once again instills hope and a quieting of the soul...especially following troubled times.
Just a thought.Hope I did not offend this time.

Has anyone else tried this yet?

How about you Mordant?

I find it has given me a deeper compassion for the situation without the bloodthirsty confusion, if that makes any sense. I feel my thinking has become clearer since I adopted this technique and reinstills a sense of peace in me.
But I am curious if it's just me.

I have not been doing this, but I have been trying very hard to look for answers other than violent retribution. The biggest thing I've done is pray again and again for peace.

I do actually think some good things can come out of this. I've never seen so many different groups come together, in the U.S. anyway. I'm an optimist, definitely, but it's nice to see that for the moment, most people have put racism aside and realized that we're all a human family.

Yeah. Last night, then again during the 3 mins silence we had this morning. I was at work.

Everyone went still and the static from the radios rolled over us like water. In my mind I pictured the Star just like she looks in the Tarot I got when I was 12.
I was aware of my workplace around me but it all got more and more unreal, while the Star filled more and more of my conciousness. After a very little time I saw that the fluid which the Star pours from her jug was moving, a shining silver flow. A bird sitting in the tree behind her shifted on his branch, ruffling his wings and glancing down at me with a dark indifferent eye. Stronger and stronger grew the image, till I saw that the Star was a giantess, towering over me, and the flowing stream from her vessel was littered with tiny lights. I realized that the stream was eternal and inexhaustible, that it was boundless.

Thanks Mordant.
You have an incredible gift for validating ideas others would find foolish.
Blessings be upon thee...
