History Channel rules

I've been hooked to this channel for a few months. Today they're running profiles on every American president. Last week I caught a really neat feature on electric company workers and a bunch of Gangster stuff. I'm loving this channel.

Makes a change from Hitler I guess - any non-American history mentioned?

Isn't there a History Channel: World Edition? I could've sworn the last time I was at my folks', they had both channels.

They do have some non-American-focused stuff, the Hannibal special of not too long back comes to mind, or the 'assassinate Hitler' dramatization... for that matter, Hitler is the Hitory Channel's mascot, practically, and he's generally considered not an American (by citizenship or birth, anyway, spiritual alliance with y'know, rightwing psychonazi bastard of the week in politics aside).
It is pretty well split between being the 'Wild West Channel' and the 'WWII from Stateside Perspective Channel'.
This presidency stuff right now is kinda addictive, though I still await the day we can refer to the Republican Party as 'the new Washington Generals of the History Channel.'

Nazi Germany is pretty safe territory for the H(itler) channel because it was a clearly defined battle that US forces fought in with victorious consequences...

And yeah, there are plenty of colourful and fun bits of history involving US presidents - Grover Cleveland - the bachelor president who liked to party, James Garfield, shot by a would-be assassin, but killed by the inadequacies of his doctors...

But I am concerned that the History Channel does produce a very jaundiced view of history...
