Report-back from the O'Reilly Emerging Technology Conference?

Tom Coates

Would people be interested in me giving an overview of the kinds of things that people were talking about at this year's O'Reilly conference on Emerging Technologies? I went about three weeks ago and I've been letting it settle down in my head.

I've thought about doing this for a few years now, but I wasn't sure if the Barbelith crew would be particularly interested. So bugger it, I just thought I'd ask out loud. If so, I'll try and write something up about it over the weekend.

I'm extremely interested Tom. Let it shake down and then lay it on us.

I would, as I have been far to slack to post myself, though tags, geo, BBC Creative Archive and replacing TV were the things that stuck for me.

Yes, please.

If you missed the session about applying engineering tactics to biohacking, I'll fill in the gap.

I rarely contribute to the Lab 'cause I'm dumb like rocks, but I do find technology facinating. Share, please.

Okay - so basically I'm a bit swamped, but I will definitely get back to this. I might just do a brief summary of each of the various things I attended so that people can react to them individually. Anyone else who went could also do that...
