I have survived a near death experience

Foust is SO authentic

See, I usually put a glass of water near my bed when I go to sleep. Last night, I must have flipped over really fast in my sleep, because I woke up to discover that my arm had smashed the glass. Like, the glass exploded. I've only got a flesh wound, though.

Hardly sounds like a near death experience to me.

Mmmm... that sounds more like a "Near-Glass" experience.

A piece of glass could have pierced the heart.

At which point Foust would have slept for a thousand years, until a prince kissed him. It's certainly a _disconcerting_ experience, though. Huggles for Foust.

Don't you hate cheap glasses though? They break if you so much as sneeze on them. I prefer plastic tumbers and ceramic mugs.

Foust said that the glass exploded. Perhaps an assasin fired a shot at hir and missed, hitting the glass instead. That glass deserves a posthumous medal for sacrificing itself to save Foust.

...or the cracked skull of a fallen victim. Works a treat.

My brother in law accidentally brought his hand down on a glass and it severed a nerve. He can't move his little finger anymore, which is a shame as it was his only source of income.
Anyway, that was a lucky break, Foust. Have you considered suing the manufacturers?
Of sleep, I mean.

Foust: did you wake up when you smashed it, or did you only realise in the morning?

Did the glass break anything else?

Yes Biz - remember your brother in law and his promising stage career- all due to the extraordinary abilities of his little finger - it is a tragedy that future generations will never see his remarkable act since no film of his performances pre-glass 'accident' exist. Truly a loss to the world...

By the way Foust, how do you know its only a flesh wound? Have you checked your soul? It could be damaged.

I got a splinter the other day. I was clinically dead for like two minutes.

On a long enough time-scale every experience is near death.

Tezcatlipoca, really. The skulls of former victims are for family gatherings: Christmas-time, kid's birthday parties, things like that. Cracked skulls are only good for serving snacks and nibbles.
