Love it or loathe it?

I like it. I think she has shit hair, and the hat thing makes it seem a little more like it's meant] to look that way.

I've got to say that I like it too. It seems a tiny bit too big but the general style suits her and it really compliments her dress, which I thought was wonderful when I saw it earlier today.

I like it too. It's Philip Treacy, isn't it? It's got real gold tips on the ends. Perhaps she decided since they aren't likely to give her a tiara she might as well get her own bit of head-bling.

It looks like a tumbleweed, which I thought they didn't have in that part of the world...

no, they don't have planes either to transport tumbleweed into the country...

I like it. But you know, with those faces, yipes. Surely they are not planning to try to have any biological children at this point? Let's hope, for the sheer aesthetics of the planet, that they are both sterile at this point....

Hurray! I've been meaning to start a thread on this - her two outfits and whether people liked them.

I really liked the head dress - though I felt sorry for her when she came out as she was obviously worried about it flying away. It's got a lovely swoop to it and lifts her face.

I'm not sure about the blue dress and coat - I liked the way it moved as she walked, but when she stood still it did look uncomfortably like a nightie and dressing gown combo. I'm not really a fan of pale blue, which doesn't help. But the shape of it was flattering and, as I said, it moved well.

I haven't managed to see her earlier outfit properly (I haven't seen it on TV, just online) but the photos look okay - conservative but tasteful and, again, well cut and flattering.

Well, there must be something wrong with me. My very first thought was that it matches his comb-over. Does no-one else see that?

ha. Now you mention it... But still, I like it. I'm making one for myself out of pipecleaners.

I liked it, particularly because her hair is usually horrible and this setup improved it immeasurably.

Apparently the camera really doesn't like her and she's better looking in the flesh.
I thought she had picked two outfits which really flatter her. I really liked the head dress although yes on hindsight it does seem to echo Charlie's hair.

Has Charlie always had a combover or was it just for the wedding?

I like it a great deal, but I am generally a fan of exotic headgear at weddings. Less sure about the red number that she wore in Scotland (will find a pic later, but can't bring myself to look for royal wedding pictures right now as everyone at work can see my PC) -as far as I remember the feathers looked a bit like they'd been stabbed into it blindly rather than in order to achieve some kind of 'look'...

Camilla Parker Bowles invariably looks better when she doesn't notice the camera- or on television when she has to ignore it for some reason so I think she must feel quite anxious about them. This wouldn't bode well for a Queen but formal photographs only happen every so often...

I really like it actually. Extremely well-chosen I thought, and elegant, and a lot better than some of Diana's fashion disasters ...

(On any other board the last comment would mean I'd probably have to change my name and move now.)

It's actually amazingly difficult to find a picture of Princess Diana with a decent haircut. When you really look around you realise that they always cart out photos of her from specific periods because the rest of the time her hair was absolutely vile.

To me, Camilla's hat looked like a duppy was invading her brane space.

I think Camilla's head dress says: "I am the dark-mother death-goddess of the new aeon and my reign has begun."

I for one welcome our new cthonic overlords etc etc...

you are all missing the point here - all queens of the monarchy wear absolutely terrible hats - it's a tradition.... off with their heads!

I'm not particularly pro or anti royal. I think that she looked very attractive on the day. Yeah, the front page of the times was quite soft focus, but still, for an older girl she scrubbed up well on her day etc Hat all part of the overall effect.
