Hello. It is me. I am back. I wasn't going to plug this but "Where Kilburn High Road meets Willesden Lane" seemed too poetic to not. And I am tired of feeling too awkward and uncool to post stuff.
Anyhoo, this friday {April 8th}, upstairs at the Southern K in Kilburn, I will be strumming my fake 12 string Phantom along to the naughty sounds of Beth {imagine a younger, more attractive Shirley from Garbage} singing and Patrick playing his bass along to my dirty groovy beats in a band called The Mekano Set.
The night goes on until 2am and the DJ's playlist features some lovely bands:
Bowie, Buzzcocks, Byrds, Charlotte Hatherley, Cornershop, Clash, Concretes, De La Soul, Echo and the Bunnymen, Franz Ferdinand, Futureheads, Gang Starr, Happy Mondays, Inner City, Interpol, Kaito, Kinks, Libertines, Lush, Marvin Gaye, Maximo Park, Polyphonic Spree, Pixies, Pulp, Rapture, Smiths, Soul II Soul, Spiritualized, Stellastarr*, Strokes, Talking Heads, Yeah Yeah Yeahs.
You can find out more here: www.allmanna.co.uk
It costs £4 with the downloadable flyer and the magick words "The Mekano Set". |
