If anyone is in Brighton this Saturday night between the hours of 8 and 11, why not come to Unpop, upstairs at the Penthouse?

The basic Unpop brief has been described as: Weird anti pop hits, pop music with a glitch in its component parts from Daphne and Celeste to DJ Assault.

I'm lucky enough to be playing some tunes as a guest DJ this week. Unfortunately I don't have any Daphne and Celeste or DJ Assault, but I may play music by some or all of the following: No Lay, M.I.A., The Knife, Ol' Dirty Bastard, Le Tigre, The Slits, Annie, The Kills, Miss Kittin, Mu, El-P & Ghostface, The Faders, and others. Sort of a mix of shallow pop, annoying hipster rock and needlessly aggressive hip hop, then.

Would be great to see the Brighton crowd again...

that was hella hella fun. from the pub to the club to making badges at five am in a recording studio. a bunch of adventures compressed into a few (well, twelve) hours. yay for stimulants and depressants!
