I suppose fortune does favour the brave, but possibly arguably maybe not to that extent.
I haven't finished it yet, the novel, but I, along with everyone else who was in the audience, have seen the writer give generously, of himself.
Hemmingway, or I think anyone really, would have baulked at that perhaps, going quite so far. Like, 'It's only a book, man,' people would've said, 'Keep your trousers on.' They'd have said that as a euphemism, as a figure of speech. |
