>> After doing a quick and futile search of the forum for a related thread on this topic, i started an independent thread to deal with an idea put forth in Alan Moore's sereis Promethea. Of course, i realize i am far behind the band wagon with this series.

Read this.

The Beggar was Mr. Moore being creative with meaning and imagery. But creativity is where it all began thousands of years ago, so I consider it canon. Why not, right?
