The other is rock and roll, of course. Or maybe professional wrestling. I'm curious to see if there are any other baseball nuts on the 'lith. It would be nice to have someplace on the web to discuss baseball without people who say "Shilling is teh sux0r!!!!111" and the like.
What with the steroids hullabaloo, my beloved Sox reigning as world champs(!), some bloated free agent signings (why, yes, I am referring to the Mets, actually. And fucking Clemens), the "Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim" and baseball making its return to DC in the form of the shit Montreal Expos with an even more shit name, it's been an eventful offseason.
The Sox look good this year, with a ridiculously deep pitching staff and the same batting lineup, except for the Cabrera-to-Renteria upgrade at shortstop.
The Yanks got Johnson, but he's a million years old. Pavano had one good season, and in a contract year; he could be Esteban Loaiza v.2.0. I would look at Jaret Wright as their most reliable pickup. And Tino Martinez is back? What the fuck? As I recall, he hit about .260 for Tampa freakin' Bay last year. Didn't I see Carlos "the fuck" Delgado on the market? No plays for Beltran? Is Steinbrenner finally worried about spending money? I'm confused, but I like the Sox' chances in the AL East this year.
