It's my friend's stag do and 13 of us (eek, I know!) are going to Budapest to celebrate.

Besides one of our number's grandparents spending their childhood there (and that alone being enough for him to think he knows more about it!) - none of us know what to do or see. We've got a few things planned on the itinerary, but a few bars would be good, as would interesting tourist attractions for our hangovers the next day!

So what's good to see? Have we any Hungarian 'Lithers?

The Gellert is this well weapon old bath house.

Has a wave machine in a old marble pool. Bonkers.

Yeah - we stayed there in the end. It was very nice, but I think they were a bit perterbed that a bunch of drunken English boys were going to stay in their hotel. All the Eastern Europeans were there in their suits and furs and we were lounging about in jeans. tsk.

The Akropolis venue is always fantastic. Varied mixture of music (Sigur Ros, Henry Rollins, Frames, etc), very friendly fun atmosphere.

I'd second the Gellert as well.

Up around the Fisherman's Bastion on Buda is great. Fairytale style towers and walkways overlooking the city, surrounded by blossoming trees and constant music from choirs, jazz bands and hiphop clubs mixing around you. It's a fantastic city.

Museum of Modern Art is brilliant as well.
