Hollywood is strangely reluctant to award him - maybe his coke fueled past (hyprocritical of powers that be to say the least) or maybe they just want to wait until he is so old that he can't stand up anymore and then give him a life-time achievment thing. Or maybe they think it's funny to include him in lists about great's who never won the Oscar.

Sidenote - Mrs The Ball's (TBC) step-father was up for an Aviator related oscar for sound - but lost out to Ray (a film that is 50% playback - where's the justice!).

That’s what he was going to be making next. But now he’s gonna be remaking The Medusa Touch. Except he’s doing it in a hellish urban setting, with smoke coming out of the subway and everything, and the scene right at the end with the guy getting his head stoved in goes on for at least half the film. And uses a gold statue.

Leo can play the Lee Remick role if he wants.
