New fiction project

ok, so i have a domain at www.industrialprophet.com

i have had it for years, and never used it for anything, but i decided it would be a good place for a fiction project. the first installment is here

The idea is that a harmless lj game takes over reality on certain levels based on who filled it out and when. all the prime numbered entries between 2-2777 had the information written about them come true.

this sounds lame as i type it, but i think it could be pretty cool.

any feedback is of course appreciated.

Hmm....let me think about it and I'll see if I have any idea for it this weekend.

Of course, I've been toying with the idea of a wiki novel, which has prolly already been done before.

GIve me a bit and I shall be on this. I have too much on my plate at the moment. A couple of weeks too long? I think I can get more settled by then..or I should hope.

Elijah.

That story is absolutely fascinating. It's such an excellent idea.

The first chapter was absolutely wonderful to read and although I also liked the second in terms of content I much prefer your writing in the first person, it's very readable and draws you directly in to the story. But the second chapter did have a kind of American Gods feel to it which was cool.

I truly haven't read anything I enjoyed so much for a very long time and I wish it was a novel and already finished, because I'd buy it. I really, really want to know what happens next.

Why do you want to make it a fiction project? I don't think you should. I actually think you should choose another idea for a fiction project and turn this one into a novel instead, written entirely by you, in the first person. It so unusual and clever it would be a shame to water down your style and also you run the risk of the story going off in weird directions and tangents. That's fine if that's what you want, but if you have in your head the way you would like the story to resolve itself, I think you should write it all yourself. It's too precious and imaginative an idea to give away!

wow folks, thanks for the input/praise.

Honestly O, i considered it as a full length novel, and I may still do Elijahs Story as one, but because i went a bit overboard concept wise i decided having others write additional stories connected to the main text would be fun.

Eventually, if everything i write comes out enough i may self publish a collection and use the web site as a suppliment, perhaps even altering it to make it "in story"

that might get a little meta though.

There is currently another story up by a friend of mine (the guy who i was talking to in chapter 2).

As far as the first person, i have been writing so much LJ type junk lately, i wanted to see if i could still write in 3rd person.
