I wouldn't ordinarily post this sort of thing, but I'm a bit desperate, and it's fairly serious. My friend Mark is going in for a second surgery for brain cancer tomorrow. If you can take a moment to wish him well, in whatever way is meaningful to you, I would appreciate it tremendously.

All the best to your friend. I don't even know him and this is giving me a little knot in my tummy. Brain surgery is an incredibly serious situation.

Tonight (or maybe tomorrow morning is more realistic for me) , when I get home, I will light a candle for him and send him the light. Maybe I should light two pink candles (Rosy Cross style), one for you as well, since you are so distraught over this, nightclubdwight. *hugs*

Just a quick note to thank you all for your kind words and thoughts. My friend came through his surgery fine and seems to be recovering well. I've found that when I try to talk to my family and offline friends, it's been too overwhelming for me, and so my online communities have been an important resource.
