I'm sure anyone with an artistic bent has been in a similar situation: You're travelling, and purely by chance you pick up a pen or sketchpad that just clicks with your style. You use it with abandon, retrieve it when lost and when it's finally used up nothing you can lay your hands on comes close to the way this particular product worked. Or you borrowed something from the student who lived in Japan for a year and fell in love with it. Or you're about to dump that stack of driftwood that you never got round to making a sculpture out of while a couple miles away another Barbeloid is bemoaning the lack of driftwood in his local B&Q.

That's what this thread is for. We're a pretty global community with access to many and varied materials. So there's no reason I couldn't send you, say, a box of Berol 4B pencils in exchange for a couple of Sharpies.

Which is what I'm after: Sharpies! More specifically I'm after a couple of those new-fangled sharpies that do the clicky-clicky ballpoint pen thing. Do they come in different colours? If you can provide me with these, I can provide you with something from the British art supplies market (or something that you might be able to get in your local art store, but which would have the added benefit of coming from overseas).

I've seen pastel Sharpies recently; they didn't have the clicky-thing though. I'll keep an eye out.

So what super-cool Art Supplies are exclusive to Britain and Europe? What do you all have over there that we poor stateside shmucks are missing out on?
