GGM, I had a similar tooth-brushing incident, but fortunately I noticed before anything truly gross happened: Desitin. As a new parent, I was pretty used to smelling like it much of the time anyway, but I can't imagine the taste... I had to boil my toothbrush before it stopped smelling like a baby's backside.

Glad to hear it cleared up. I had the same problems with my ears once, though I think in my case it was a build-up of excessive ear wax that was the cause(they had to use this machine to suck stuff out). I too am very paranoid about my eyesight.
