I picked up X-Men 166 today, Milligan's first issue, and it's a little early to tell if it's going to be any good. It's definitely the B-team of X-men, with some lame-o characters like Polaris and Havok. But there is Emma Frost. Oh, yes. Rogue: "Why is that, Emma? Anyone would think you had an ulterior motive." Emma: "Darling, I'm not sure if I have any kind of motive." I think Milligan will write a great Emma.

However, I don't really know what's going on. It's Milligan's first issue, I've only read it once, and honestly, he's a character-driven writer so I'm not sure I should even care. This probably won't be anywhere near the joy that was X-Force/X-Statix, but I'm going to buy this book. Anybody else buy this? |
