now one of our dearest actors will show in Sundance his movie WHAT IS IT?, with a cast of Down Syndrom actors, naked women with animal masks and Fairuza Balk's screams! 10 years in the making, because we need an "alternative to the safe, predictable entertainment being churned out by Hollywood. A culture will die a death of stupidity if it doesn't have different points of view".

You forgot to mention his role in River's Edge, Hector. He's a nutbag, that's a certainty (I thought I'd linked that Letterman video before, but I only referenced it). I can't imagine what this movie is like.

I saw this, and him, when he came through Syracuse. he was pretty lucid in the Q&A and addressed some questions about his influences.

but the movie...the movie's fucked up. it felt more like "fucked up just to be fucked up" than "feel like there's something cool here I'm just not quite getting".

the description in the older post is pretty accurate. every single person in this movie

a) is a naked woman with a mask and no lines
b) has Down Syndrome - these guys are the only real actors with lines and plots and things
c) is a snail, screaming while being killed on film
d) is Crispin Glover lounging around in a throne
e) one other incoherent naked dude. I believe in the QA it was revealed that he sort of contributed to the writing of the movie and then died from MS right after production. he spends most of the movie masturbating.

lots of weird imagery and ranty stream of thought dialog.

One of my favourite bits of trivia about this amazing artist is that he is the son of the actor Bruce Glover best known for his portrayal of the freakish homosexual assassin Mr Wint in the Bond flick Diamonds Are Forever. Now *that*'s heritage!
