Danzig: He Pitys the Fool!
08:08 / 25.01.05
So as their seemed to be plenty of 'Lithers there last night, how did you all find it? Personally, I haven't seen a band be that good live for at least 2 years. They were in-fucking-credible! Highlight of the night - Their Law, an inspiration to all the pretenders that have followed.

On another note, how good an idea is the Instant Live CD's? Brilliant in my estimation. A couple of friends brought the CD 10 minutes after the show had finished, and i'm currently in the process of burning it for all and sundry, on order.

All in all, Top Banana!

Fuck yes, they were awesome.
How did they finish? I had to leave about twenty minutes before the end to go to work.

I'll gladly post the whole set list for you when I get home form work. Did you get one of the CD's. It's ok quality by all accounts.

Their Law, an inspiration to all the pretenders that have followed.

I have to ask. Who, exactly, attempted to gain success by imitating Pop Will Eat Itself?

Danzig: He Pitys the Fool!

Maybe it's just me, but I see a lot of what the Poppies do in a band like The Prodigy for example. I'm not saying it's a bad thing, as imitation is the greatest form of flattery.

Anyhoo, for the benefit of Stoatie, here's last nights set list.

I seem to remember that The Prodigy were produced by members of PWEI.

Oh, btw, did you hear that anguished howl last night? The one that sounded like a man who's had his soul ripped from his mortal body and is forced to wander the earth, hounded by the knowledge that he will be forever denied the comforting embrace of peace?

That was me, after Stoatie let slip that PWEI is touring again, realizing that they'll never come to the Bay Area, that I'll never get to see Def.Con.One live.

Except "Their Law" was a Prodigy song. It just featured PWEI.

Like lekvar, I found out about the reformation only last night. Also like lekvar, I'm upset, since they're not going to be coming anywhere near the pacific northwest.

Is there anything new or rare on the CD? Is it worth me trying to track down on ebay?

I left during Sweet Sweet Pie. Bugger. That means I missed both Beaver Patrol and Def Con One.
Cheers for the list though, Danzig. (Any chance of some CD trading action?)

Didn't they once get coined off trying to rap on a support slot before Public Enemy?

I really want to get some of their stuff and this thread has reminded me.

Is there anything rare on the cd
Well, I suppose the whole thing is rare. They've recorded every show on this little adventure, and done a DVD of the Nottinghma show.I have no idea how many copies they plan on doing, but you should be able to buy it from their site.

To be fair, having listened to the CD now, it's not exactly ground breaking in quality, but plenty listenable. Then again, what can you expect 10 minutes after the show finishes.

For Stoatie & Levkar, ask and you shall receive. You may have to wait a little while though, as i'm out of CD cases.

Well that'll explain it then. I'm not much of one for musical general knowledge.
