Those who haven't seen this man's work should check it out - it's loverly. Black, whimsical, strange. He's got two collections of his work out through Alternative press. Lots of weird little short noodly-doodly thoughts-on-paper kind of stuff. His web site's here. I did an interview with him for PopImage that's here, with samples of his work and stuff.

He's good, and a very cool guy to boot. I met him a few times, definitely check his stuff out.

Also worth checking out from the probably-now-mostly-defunct comic Meathaus (an anthology of Tom Herp. and many others, including Farel Dalrymple of POP GUN WAR and James Jean of FABLES cover fame), ESCALATOR, a paperback collection of short stories out this week by Brandon Graham (also published by Alternative Comics). Dem's some good comics.
