I have been working on this for a while, it's based loosely off of Yggdrasil, the World Tree from norse myth, one of the covers to the book Morning of the Magicians, and some other stuff.

It may or not be finished yet, never got a chance to include Ratatosk, the squirrel, but sometimes you just need to walk away for a bit.

Need the flash plug in, a decent processor, sorry if you are on a mac, might chug a bit, but suppossedly macromedia is going to have that fixed in the next version.

This is good, it's just a shame it's so processor intensive, I guess that's why not many people seem to have looked at it.

The animation's very smooth, and certainly pretty, especcially the backgrounds. Perhaps you could post some still pictures from it to give us a taste?

well thank you for the kind words, Legba.

Actually, it seems like a whole bunch of people have looked at it after checking my stats, I think it might just be more of a situation where people really do not know what to make of it. I dont think posting stills from it would be a good idea, not comfortable breaking the gestalt.

Oh, and Ratatosk has finally appeared, gotta look carefully, but you can see him running around spreading gossip!

people really do not know what to make of it

Probably right; I looked at this last week and didn't post because I wasn't sure what to say beyond, "Cool, I like it."

Nice concept, I think; I disliked the drone initially, but after a minute it became rather soothing and hypnotic. The animation is very smooth.

The serpent among the tree-roots particularly intrigues me; it comes across as an interesting amalgam of Nidhogg the worm, the Midgard Serpent, and the venom-dripping snake bound over Loki's body.

sekhmet, you are dead on about the serpent. figured I would just throw everything together on that one.

One of my friends kept pushing me to convert it into stereo, spent my evening doing that, you can see, wait, scrath that, hear the results here. It really does add another dimension to it.
