Virgin.net - HELP!!

Hey ho, so I'm back from vacation, where I bought an airport card for my wonderful Mac, and when I installed said airport card, it configured itself and in the process wiped my internet settings. Anyway I have an internet account with virgin.net, and I can remember my password, my access numbers but NOT my user ID. What is very annoying is that I have spent the past 40 minutes poking around their web site and they will not give you any phone support numbers or any help remembering your user ID number without your fucking user ID. I even tried to e-mail them to find out what it was but I got an error message saying I couldn't cuz I didn't provide an f-ing USER ID. AAAARGH!!

Anyway this is an appeal to any barbeloid who uses virgin.net or whose web-fu is more advanced than mine to provide me with any phone support number so I can call the fuckers and find out what my user ID is. Obviously this is crap service that one might like to cancel but again you can't do that without your user id. AARGH!

Help me, Barbelith. You're my only hope!

um, I'm sure I'm stating the obvious, but isn't it your email address?

I think it's your first name followed by a period followed by your last name (eg: bob.smith). At least that's the format my Virgin.net username is in.

Yes, it's called the Data Protection Act. I work in a virgin.net analog and I get this everyday. The fact is, anyone could have the same password so that's irrelevant if you still know that or not.

You can find your local support line by whacking your e-mail addy in here: http://gps.virgin.net/supportnumber/jsp/phone.jsp

Not too hard to find.

OK, maybe I didn't make myself clear. What I was missing WAS the actual email address for virgin.net. I'm missing this because I never actually used it for e-mail, just saved it in my computer and only used the service to hop on the internet. I understand the data protection act, as well as the fact that anyone could have the same password as me, and yes, I had found that page you pointed out to me but the point is what I was actually missing was my actual virgin e-mail address.

Believe it or not I am actually pretty computer literate and after a thorough search of this site I found the only way to actually find a number to contact someone about this particular problem was to start registering a whole new account, which brought up a support number and allowed me to explain my problem to a real live person.

At any rate, I did a little more searching and manged to find a support number. Problem solved.

Sorry, I realised after I posted that you probably didn't use the email address! I didn't mean to be patronising, honest!

I didn't think you were being patronizing, my dear...
