I'm not sure there's a thread for Berserk already, so mods whip me if necessary...
...Wow... I just bought the collected edition of "season one" for Berserk. If you haven't yet seen this, do yourself a favor and watch it ASAP, it's fucking ridonkulously impressive. Absolutely gut-wrenching (haha), stunning on every level. But I have to ask... is that "ending" really it...? I mean, I can see how the series would be titled Berserk after that, given what Guts (the central protagonist) is left with... but damn, if that ain't frustrating, to be left like that. For those of you who havent seen it, I wont go into details of the finale save to say it's much like Lord of the Rings, if Sauron had won, pulled out the box from hellraiser and fucked everyone over. I know the anime's based off of a manga (which I've not read), but was there no continuation for the TV series?? For those of you that have read the manga, is there hope for Guts? |
