Alas's younger relative (who lives with me), who is a (mostly lurking) member of Barbelith who goes by the name of marlina_dietrich, is coming to London on Tuesday. Yipes! Alas is nervous!

Would some of you London 'lithers meet up with hir sometime this week or so? Ze's watching me write this so I will make sure ze posts. Maybe this weekend sometime?

Alas, here--niece is busy packing today, and seems a bit at loose ends, but I'll just say that she's going to be in London (based in Hampstead) for a few weeks. She's a dual citizen, visiting relatives and friends and hoping to find some kind of job. Her plans are thus indefinite, but she's promised me she'll be in touch with y'all.

Damn. I wish I could go with. Anyway, we've been to London several times... I will get her to write at least a brief note, here. Marlina? Where are you?

Yes, Marlina is at loose ends. I'll be posting more when I get to London, I suspect, and will probably come to the Drones club if something doesn't, as they say, come up. Especially since I'm a fan of P.G. Wodehouse, and that's where Bertie Wooster hangs out. Indeed.

I'm just down the road in Belsize Park (as is someone else on the board, I forget who. No one I've actually met yet, either) and if you fancied a walk on the Heath or something, that would be pretty nice.
