I read the Wiki, things look good for the split production. Barring a sudden speed up in pace, we'll probably start filming after I finish school, in May, so I'll have four or so months with no pressing engagements, and a lot of time to make the film.
And, I'd agree DV is definitely the way to go. Film definitely gives your project more credibility, but if you bring the same attention to lighting, etc. to DV production that you would to film, the production will still look much better than someone's home video, and in terms of acting, DV allows for a lot more exploration, since you can basically shoot as much as you want. In today's day and age, unless you're a studio, I feel like it's just not worth it to shoot on film. |
