So who's your pick for the coolest person? I was going to put this in the "dangerously cute" thread, but I realised that this crush is less sexual and more pathetic schoolgirl admiration.

Tadanobu Asano is, to me, the coolest person in the world. For those of you don't know who he is, he's a Japanese-American actor/musician/artist/model famous for his roles in Ichi the Killer, Shark Skin Man and Peach Hip Girl, and Taboo.

I second the nod to Tadanobu Asano, in a fanboy worship sense -- Kakihara (of Ichi the Killer) is a role model for sheer, unadulterated cool, the type of which mortal man cannot hope to attain, but I hope to get there one day.

In the sexual desire sense, there can only be Asia Argento. Um...that's not really a secret, though. I mean, I'll tell anybody that. It's not even just that she's impossibly gorgeous AND Italian (though gifted with a hilariously profane grasp of English) -- she's Dario Argento's DAUGHTER, for God's sake. Is there a woman cooler? I can't imagine.
