As a Plan B, my girlfriend and I may be moving to London in a few months. As of the end of February she'll have her CELTA degree, and will probably be looking for English Teaching Jobs...

Anyone out there had experience teaching English in London? Know any schools to avoid? Have any contacts?

Any help is appreciated. Thank you muchly...

Hey!! I am an expert here!! Um, teaching English in London can be good or it can be bad, but generally be prepared for shit pay - most schools offer a starting salary of about 9 pounds an hour. However you can make more - in the summer you can make more, usually - and if you get into ESOL you can make lots more than you do at your average language school.

I've been teaching at the same language school in London for about 2 and a half years. It's a very friendly school though I would be happy with a pay rise. Anyway if you want to know more feel free to e-mail me, I'm happy to help.
