Killing Time in Manhattan

Calling all New York based 'lithers:

Due to a poorly planned laast minute trip, I will find myself hanging around Manhattan tomorrow (Saturday) night, looking for something to do until its time to catch my plane at 6am. What is there to do in NY on a low budget? Any suggestions on warm indoors places I can hang out until the wee hours? Anything better than "sitting around the airport with a book" will surely be appreciated.

Or even better, any locals want to get together for some mayhem? PM me for my cell #, as I may well be spending a goodly bit of my evening sitting in a cyber cafe. Don't miss this rare opportunity to view the elusive cusm outside of its natural habitat!

I know of cover-free clubs and such that are open until something like 4 am, depending on the sort of scene you're into.

Stay in a fancy hotel and obtain the services of a callperson. You'll find many advertised in the back of the Village Voice, or you can speak with the concierge.

You know, of all the odd things, I ended up hanging out with a friend of mine from my own town who was in the area visiting his folks. How bizzare.

But I'm still interested in club/bar recommendations, as I will doubtless be in a similar position in the future. Where can one hang out till late on a budget?
