Does anyone remember this game?

Is anyone interested in helping me turn Pass the Pigs into a working divination system?

What were the possible 'hands' again? The only one I remember is "Makin' Bacon"

But from what I do remember, there weren't a great deal of possible options - which means it would have to either be a limited outcome set (something like rolling a die) or multiple tosses combined in an I Ching / Geomancy kinda fashion.

Either would be interested - especially if you go down the multiple throws line of thought, but if you roll "Makin' Bacon" anywhere in your set, you have to toss the whole thing and go and score a root. Or something.

Actually, I like the idea of a system of divination that lets you "hone in" on an answer by making more rolls and getting more granularity, but with the inherent risk of botching the whole thing if you press too hard. That sounds kinda cool...

I would definitely be down. I've been back-burner-edly considering tracking down the game, and this would give me an excuse. If I get my hands on one, I'll chime back in.

Leaning Jowler! Double Jowler!

I remember a story in the instructions about "Hog Calling". This guy found out he was psychic by playing pass the pigs and calling the positions before they happened. This went on to have many practical uses, like telling his friends not to hold their wedding on a rainy day and the like.

Hog Calling was worth about a gazillion points.

Wow. I didn't know anyone else in the world knew about Pass the Pigs. The nerdy set used to play it at lunch when I was in high school. (*waxes nostalgic*)

Maybe I'll dig out my set this weekend... I think it's on the coat closet shelf somewhere...
