I tried to find a thread that this might fit into but couldn't find out - but this kinda cheered me up in a strange kinda way today...but if its not worth a thread someone can delete it - you might have seen it before :

Perspective on life according to George Costanza:

"The most unfair thing about life is the way it ends. I mean, life is tough. It takes up a lot of your time. What do you get at the end of it? A death. What's that, a bonus?!?
I think the life cycle is all backwards. You should die first, get it out of the way. Then you go live in an old age home. You get kicked out for being too healthy, go collect your pension, then, when you start work, you get a gold watch on your first day.
You work forty years until you're young enough to enjoy your retirement.
You drink alcohol, you party, and you get ready for High School.
You go to primary school, you become a kid, you play, you have no responsibilities, you become a little baby, you go back, you spend your last 9 months floating with luxuries like central heating, spa, room service on tap, then you finish off
as an orgasm!! Amen"

Cool, bear. Still begins and ends with incontinence though.

If you buy the theory of Big Bang followed eventually by Big Crunch, then entropy reverses and the universe runs backwards, time unwinds more or less.

Maybe then we can all be going off down the pub in our seventies with healthy livers and full of teenage lust, with the wisdom to milk it to the full.

Not wanting to spoil the fun, but I think Stephen Hawkings popped that baloon already. Even if the Big Crunch occurs, there will be no time-rewinding. Boo-hoo.

Senhor de Jade, how could you! I am suffering an emotional slump now...

That Steve Hawking's a right ray of sunshine, isn't he? Think I'll stick to getting my eschatological theory from George Costanza.

Life is that precious time that exists between responsibilities and sleep.

Wanna talk about emotional slump?
What about You And Runce, who brought up the parallel universes theory? Just the thought that there's a version of me somewhere living a good life is enough to make me sick. He gets all the goodies, the bastard, what about me???
I hope he gets cancer. Three types of.

But right now according to this multiple universe theory another me somewhere is creating a "device" that splits the walls between the universes and he's coming to take me back to his world where I will live as a king and watch Buffy and the Simpsons all day and slave girls....you get the idea....

Dude, like, this is *so* impossible... didn't you watch Back To The Future, with that law and all? You would destroy the UNiverse, man! Wotcha!

But what profiteth a man to be in a universe if he cannot watch the Simpsons and Buffy all day and be served by slave girls?

You know I always thought it would be cool if you somehow jumped into TV land but knew all about the shows, for example I jumped into Buffy but they didn't know it was a show and thought I was just new in town...would those sort of thought count as this "slash" that I hear being mentioned from time to time....?

And yeah about back to the future, another one of my selfs has thought as this and has created a shield to protect us

Jade, think of it this way, there are an infinite number of yous doing better, but there are also an infinite number doing worse.

So you're sort of in the middle. Except not.

A Brazilian saying 'Wotcha!' is definitely alternate universe stuff.
