Apparently TG played their first live show in... 24 years is is? Quite recently. Not only that, 10 minutes after the performance they had the live double CD mixed and ready to be purchased. Now that's what I call prompt service! I can't believe I forgot all about this...

Just ordered mine now. It looks pretty ace: Some of the new songs off TGNOW plus new songs and old favorites (hamburger Lady, What a Day, Convincing People (a personal favorite) and wall of sound).

This May a DVD is supposed to be issued of the TGNOW recording. Also, 2005 should see the release of TG's seventh official studio album (some may argue sixth but I'd say that TGNOW is just as much a TG studio album as any of the others... In fact, some have referred to it as "Heathen Earth 2").

I was at the gig / recording and it was ace. Excellent sound. Mr. Orridge does look particularly ridiculous these days [but then he's always been quite good at that]. It's not that I object to him having breasts or wearing a rubber mini, it's just that he ends up looking like a cross between Kat from Eastenders and an old porn star. Not that it spoilt my fun.

I got the live CD a few days ago. It's pretty good, a mix of old classics and new material (3 of the songs off TG NOW) plus a few new songs. "Walls of Sound" still hasn't lost it's bite after all these years, and P-Orridge still hasn't lose his knack for sarcastic little asides in between songs ("You probably all voted for Tony Blair, didn't you?") I was glad to see "Convincing People" was on there too, I've always liked that song, even though it never shows up on the greatest hits albums. Woulda liked to have seen "Slug Bait" though. Oh well.
