Magickal exhaustion?

After a particularly elaborate, strenuous, or involved Magickal working, have you ever felt a sort of "rebound effect?" Suddenly, the whole idea of Magick doesn't interest you, reading or even thinking about it seems to be a strain, and you just don't give a rat's fat ass about it. This can last for a few days or a few months. It happens to me sometimes, and seems to be accompanied by a sudden loss of libido, as well. (The libido loss never lasts long, though!) Thoughts, experiences, explanations, anyone?

Yes.

But it happens with me in most hobbies and jobs. I think it is part of the learning curve.

Yep. Take it easy for a few weeks/months. Tread water. Do a little meditation, whatever, but don't try too hard. Just like regular, standard issue tiredness, it's there for a reason.

If the Magickal universe has anything important to tell you, it'll ring back.

TOTally...

It just seems like part of the ebb&Flow of the Tao... Or a reflection of the whole Novelty curves...

High Novelty would make for great magic...
Low Novelty would make for the opposite.

also consider the whole alignment thing that's so popular with movies, comics, story, myth in relation to magik.. It's all connected DUDE!!!
