Congratulations to you on this, your baby. And best to Mrs. Sax, especially, with all she's been through... And, of course, much happiness to baby.

Well, at least little Alice may get to kill Macbeth one day. Cheers!

Hugs, smiles, and a twenty-one gat salute from Detroit.

Congratulations to you, your nuclear family, and especially Mrs. Sax! Quite an ordeal.

As a new Barbapeep, wanted to add to cloud of happiness, and say that perhaps the scariest thing I experienced reading through your recent birth-trials was that despite all that you've been through, all my clock-ticking, hormone-addled brainbody could respond with was 'oh, I really want a baby' - that's right, no fear, no anxiety, no 'bloody hell, that could have been me' - just 'I want one too'. Nature is a scary demon.

Ah, for a bunch of uncompromising fuck-shit-up radical cop killers, you sure are a bunch of soppy gits at times.

Thanks for all your nice words; Mrs Sax is especially touched by some of your words.

Glad to report that everything's fine and just have to get used to waking four times a night now for the next three months or so.

Oh, hey, I just realised--if Baby Alice was born last Monday, it means her B-day is on El Dia de Constitution! And also Saint Nicholas' Day (in some countries)--some of my German buddies relate happy tales of putting their boots out on the front step to be filled with sweeties on the 6th of Dec. Cool!

The bad news is she also shares a B-day with moi. Hmm. Let's just hope that astrology was looking the other way, eh?

How's everyone doing now? All going well, I hope?

Rather belatedly, congrats to you both! We shall certainly be raising a glass of Boddington's bitter to your impressively powerful sperm (unless anyone prefers to raise a glass of your bitter sperm to your impressively powerful Boddington's, of course). I hope Mrs Sax is all okay now, too.

Yes, everyone's fine now, Mordant and everyone else who has so nicely asked. Mrs Sax put away two bottles of Cava the other day with only minor help from me, so she's on the mend. Alice, however, has not yet learned to distinguish between night and day, which means I get to see some very interesting graveyard shift TV (there was a particularly impressive "secrets of the magicians" show on last night which means I can now do a fantastic trick with a cup and an ice cube).
