GGGNNNpaintbynumbersbadverybad. I'd been repressing that.

Here! Colour in a craply-line-drawn picture of a shire horse with preselected terrible quality paints! You'll like that! You're artistic

Don't forget the inevitable follow-up: "No you can't have that [insert infinately more desirable item such as box of actual real paints ect], you haven't finished the lovely paint-by-numbers picture you got for Christmas!"

Did none of you ever have something called the Anti-Colouring Book? With lots of pages specifically designed for you to draw things on them and fill in the gaps your own way, because colouring books were crap?

Oh My God!

I had that! That was wicked! There'd be like backgrounds and stuff, or little bits of scenery round the edges, and you drew your own pictures. That was ace!

Oh yeah, I remember the anit-colouring books. Don't think I had one though. I had Altair. Anyone else remember Altair? Sort of funny geometric patterns that you could colour in?

I had the "Build A Better Mousetrap" Anti-Coloring Book. In fact, I may still have it somewhere. I thought I was going to be some sort of scientist at one point in my youth. I'd bellow with laughter, but I've got a cold.

I've still got my Anti-Colouring book and I find it disturbing to look at. Maybe I should scan some of it in sometime. Anyone else feel like doing the same, if they still have a copy?

I've also still got an Altair colouring book, which mainly just looks trippy.

I remember wanting a Big Trak- for ages and then being really let down by it when i actually got to play on one- my mum was a teacher and they had bought one for the kids at her school (not my bloody school though!) and we had it at home for a whole summer holiday.

The main shitty thing with big trak was its inability to function with other toys- try sitting your star wars figures on top they slide and fall off- attack an action man base with big trak- it either ran completely out of control destroying a meticulously crafted base or went in totally the wrong direction (more often than not) as you'd under/ overestimated while programming it- which took ages and was very boring...

As i remember i played with it for about a week and then just gave up on it cos it was never that cool... now a remote controlled tankl with seats for action figures- that would be fucking cool!

I never had transformers either- i was just a little bit too old- i think they first started to appear around my second year at secondry school so at 13 years old I felt i was too old for toys- and missed out. I still always want to play with them if I see freinds with collections, and they still prove to be fascinating as i never indulged as a child...

I remember smashing up the Megatron Transformer in my garden. Stamping on it or something. Can you fucking believe that? The cool Megatron/Gun Transformer?

I'm sure I'll always miss that gun/figure, and always regret that act.

Mmmmm. I threw away a complete run of (the original) Death's Head & Dragon's Claws comics in a fit of pre-teenage angst about my 'immaturity' for still reading comics.
Wanker.

But here they are anyway!

I wanted to open up our pets to see what their insides looked like - but, after Fluffy, my parents never left me alone with an animal. I got the last laugh, though, when I burned down the farmhouse - with both of them in it!

Now I can dissect whatever I like!!!

Smashed up Megatro, eh? Did away with your comics?

Betcha didn't smash up your entire Transformer collection (Megatron included) with a hammer. I did.

God, I'd love to punch teenage Boboss in his thicky little face.

Dude, I can't believe your parents bought you a blank pad of paper and told you it was the Anti-Colouring Book.

I never had an anti-coloring book but I did have this book I absolutely loved, with unfinished drawings and next to each was a lined page where you could write a story about the picture. I LOVED that book. And yet it was really creepy, with all these ugly elves or trolls in it - if anyone remembers or locates that book, you'd be my hero.

All this talk of Big-Traks reminded me that I always really wanted a remote control car, the cool expensive kind, but people only ever bought them for my brother. Who promptly broke each one. So unfair!

surely the worst thing to get an artistic child is a dot-to-dot book. Much worst then paint by numbers in my book.

And I feel like such a commercial hell raiser but I have most of the toys mentioned in the thread already AND I'm looking to sell them over then next few months.

So my Star Wars, GI Joe (Action Force), Action Man, Transformers, MASK, Micronauts vehicles, Lego sets (indivdually bagged and with instructions {folks raised me as a pure pack rat}} and yes even the Big Trak (in orginal box and with instructions) are going to be up fior sale.

Feel such a bastard for pimping them out to the Barbe, but you'd get friend rates if you're interested and you'll be doing me a favour and saving me from the hell of registering on E-bay.

PM me for details.

I'm sorry to hear that Boboss. It's a gutter when you remember things like that innit?
