Seena few martial arts types on here before.
I should be acquiring a hardwood Daisho soon, and there being no Dojo's for that sort of thing for a bazillion miles I was wondering if anyone knew any online guides or books on such.

Miyamoto Mushashi's A Book of Five Rings is the Kendo book, although it is along the lines of Sun Tzu's art of war with some generally helpful advice.

Why not ask the Martial Arts schools around to find out if there is someone in the area who would be willing to instruct you in a class enviroment or solo?

Would recommend stopping by a few dojos and be very specific for what you're looking for in the way of training. Also not being able to work with a partner is always difficult due to the lack of motivation and perspective. It's hard to be your own critic.

Do you have experience with sword? At my school there was a separate class for sword and the Master ranked in iai-jutsu, kendo, and others. It would take about 18 months with a very small amount of technique before you could involve other things. But as you can imagine, some of the students were amazing with only one basis of technique.

Basically, look as wide as you can...\\
