I've got a good idea. At least I think it is.
You see, I'd like to read journals I can't afford to subscribe to and since I personally do, I bet other people do too. So I was thinking. What if the person with the journal had a whole heap of pre-paid A4 envelopes and instead of putting the journal in the recycling (That's in the RECYCLING, not in the bin, you, you spawn-of-Satan bin users, you...*trails off uncertainly*... ) er...anyway...instead of putting it in the recycling, they could put it in the pre-paid envelope and post it off to someone else.
Journal recycling!
My latest desire is the 'New Scientist' (which you can read a lot of online, but you have to subscribe to to read the features). So if you subscribe to the 'New Scientist' and wouldn't mind putting your copy in a pre-paid envelope instead of the recycling, I'm in. Obviously this plan would work best if people could swap journals, but as I currently can only contribute the Friends of the Earth magazine, I'm not sure I'll have many takers. No matter. If you want the FoE mag and you're not a member so you don't get sent it, then let me know. You can send me a big supply of pre-paid envelopes (no, in fact, I'll even front up the stamps and the envelope since it's not really a valid journal) and then once a month I'll post it to you once I've read it.
Good idea? Or ditzy one?
