Joycore. This should help make up for the loss of private messaging, and it's nice to have a little privacy when necessary, now we're Googlable.

We have been thinking of moving to waste for multi os support. We just aren't quite sure about how to work it.

a direct connect hub may be a viable alternative, also it supports cross operating systems, so it could be more convenient, i was thinking in windows lvx, brainwashed by bill gates.

soulseek is another option but mac users have to fiddle about alot with a client called nicotine, and from what i read i mean alot. any suggestions lvx 23?

I've been using direct connect alot lately, and it is pretty good. It's even got an open source C++ version of the client.

another option is a client called k drive which uses overnet as a base this has mac support but no linux support.

I managed to get on to fileutopia and was in the middle of having a chat with someone and then it uninstalled itself! Will have another go whilst ignoring the user error mutterings...

Oh well, it's no longer on my general listing. I suppose that I'll need to uninstall and re-install? Could I have hidden it somehow? BTW, why isn't this in policy?

Problem solved, it does come up when I use the action menu, but not when I hit the channels button. That's weird, but prob solved.

So what's up with this? Is it soulseek or filetopia or are people exchanging torrents? Or is this idea as dead as the dodo? Maybe IRC would be easiest?

Why not just use IRC? It is probably the easiest way to chat online in groups, and it supports file sharing as well. I, and I'm sure a lot of others, could easily setup a channel on any server (gamesurge, efnet, and slashnet being the ones I'm registered on) in seconds. Plus, you can access IRC with any OS, or even through your browser (with a Java client or Chatzilla if you're using Mozilla).

IRC was made for this, we should use it.
