Well this is what I've just heard anyway. I don't have any useful links yet to Coil websites but I'm sure they're easily found. Apparently Jon Balance died on Saturday night after a drunken fall down stairs.
I'm only an on and off Coil fan personally; nevertheless I feel quite shocked and mournful. Sad in fact.

Of course everyone will assume from the description that this was either a suicide or a lover's quarel. It definitely says something about the problem with drinking all afternoon.
