OK, we've discussed this upcoming maxi-series in another thread titled Grant & The DCU or something like that; I figured it was time for Seven Soldiers to get its own thread. Especially since it's being discussed in Wizard World and THIS preview art has just been released!!!

Salivate NOW at J.H. Williams III goodness!!

also from the WizardWorld panel:

>> Grant Morrison's Seven Soldiers epic will stretch out over 30 comics.

>> "Only Grant Morrison could pull off something like this," DC Comics' Dan DiDio said during the DC Universe Saturday at Wizard World Texas.

>> The event begins in February with Seven Soldiers #0, with art by J.H. Williams. The special leads into seven four-part mini-series and a second stand-alone special.

>> Featuring Zatanna, Mr. Miracle, the Guardian and others, Seven Soldiers focuses on seven people with unusual talents and powers who hold the keys to the world's survival.

>> Artists will include Ryan Sook, Pascual Ferry, Doug Mahnke, Yannick Paquette and Cameron Stewart.

YYES!!! CAMERON & GRANT TOGETHER AGAIN!!!!

Why's there only six faces in the group shot of the Seven Soldiers, then? Unless the Shining Knight is meant to be holding the sword? Also, I don't see Mister Miracle anywhere, so I guess he must have a new look. I figure the guy on the upper right in the goggles is probably this "Bulleteer" character, right?

Damn, though, if that isn't a pretty picture. Very much looking forward to this.

The characters in that JH WIlliams cover aren't the Seven Soldiers that the series will be about.

The whole "legacy" thing from JSA again? The Grant 7 "take over" where the cover 7 "left off" maybe.
