i just picked up issue one. it's a new horror anthology comic, and the first story arc is written by none other than george romero. issue one is ok, but the plot is sort of thing. it's definitely a zombie story, though.

Got the first two yesterday, and I have to admit I wasn't impressed. It's got zombies- I liked that much about it. Bits of it seemed to be going somewhere, but large parts of it didn't. And the dialogue was terrible.

It was kind of fun in a trashy "straight to video horror movie after a few beers" sort of way. Overall, though, it just made me long for the return of Zombie World.

(OT - Zombieworld was fantastic, especially the first miniseries written by Mignola and drawn by some one who criminally I can't remember the name of, but who's art was fantastic)
But back to Toe Tags: I thought it was extremely shlocky stuff, not really doing anything interesting with either the art or the story, but it did have zombies in so it's not all bad.

That kind of sums it up, really. Except that there's an elephant as well. I liked the elephant.
