We are a broken nation, brought to its knees by controversy. Crippled by chaos, cluttered with comprise, and convenience is canned and sold for sex on our streets.
We cant fight crime, or stop hate, we have a tolerable percentage rate, yes, we can speak freely, live how we want to so on and ect. But can we trust eachother? Do we lock doors, and look over shoulders, and in some towns don’t we bar our windows?
I am here to say fuck that! I move for a new America, a place where we work hard for what we have, all of us, no one preying off of anyone else. Look at all the sickness in the world, child molesters, and serial killers, and even just common crime, it goes on everywhere all the time.
People like me get pissed and type some stupid shit into some blog online, and never do another damned thing about it. We read things about how we need to find common ground, things we can all agree on, and run with it, develop a relationship with people we don’t really see eye to eye with, and once trust is formed, deal with sensitive issues.
Look at Cheney and his daughter, he has a relationship with someone he doesn’t agree with, that doesn’t mean he will cave on the issue, but he will ceartanly view it differently because they are not enemies.
I am not saying lets all be best friends and sit around giving each other hand jobs, no, but I am saying we need to start really listening to others and not just ‘wait for our turn to talk’.
I love this country, I love it because I am free to hate it. Is there a way to bring people back together, can we find a way to work with one another(even with bush in office)? Are people willing to try? |
