I'm in Dominica staying with my in laws, its about 30 million degrees something or other, clear skies, organic food, banana daquiris, cheap everything and I'm driving the old man's jeep hither and thither in unrestricted travel heaven.

Scuba diving, whale watching, rain forest and Green! Green! Everything is Green! With bits of shocking red and purple and stuff! Crabs! Prehistoric sized birds! Humming birds! Clouds of fireflies! And really, really cheap organically grown weed, which can be smoked sitting in a hot volcanic river!

Oh yes. All is right in my world right now.

I feel f**king FANTASTIC.

I have a fabulous son who is a great cuddler.

I have fab friends who come over to my place with red wine and we laugh our asses off at the crazy world we live in.

My lover is the most beautiful and kind person I have ever met. They shower me with so much love, attention and gifts, that I am feeling spoiled. Now, for the first time in my life, someone has asked me to MARRY THEM!...FOR REAL!

I'm feeling pretty good. Recent sad events have proved to me just to what extent my friends are the best in the world.

And I'm off out in about half an hour to see Primal Scream and Soiritualized.

AND I've just rediscovered, after four years of eating, almost exclusively, chips and houmous, how much I enjoy cooking.

I went to a charity gig for Grenada on Monday, ahead of the World Creole Music festival coming soon, and it was just ACE! I never heard Zouk and Soca played proper live before at a big bastard event, and I have to say it fucking ROCKED MY WORLD.

I'd like to provide links to the World Creole Music fest, Zouk and Soca, but another daquirir calls, and you know where Google is.

Its amazing what lush rainforest and bastard hot sun can do for your temperament I swear.

I also just read Bill Brysons rather easy going book 'A Short History of Nearly Everything', which is highly recommended for anyone about to go on holiday. Perfect airport / beach / riverside fodder.

I'm SO glad you asked! Because I really am feeling splendid right now. I've been out of work lately, you see.... But today I got my lazy ass to the gym for the third day in a row, figured out how to get a chunk of php working on my website so that I can advertise, got a callback from an important contractor who set up a meeting with me for Monday, talked to my dear dad on the phone about how much the Red Sox ROCK, and tonight is drink-beer-and-gamble-on-Survivor night with my dear friends!
