Just got tickets for the Alternative Miss World event next Friday, at the London Hippodrome. I've heard of these rather fabulous (and supposedly very influential) polygender beauty extravaganzas but never been to one. Any Barbeloids able to enlighten us as to what to expect? This year's judges and performers include Brian Eno, Sian Phillips, Jarvis Cocker and Greyson Perry - so I'm kinda salivating already.
