Busted today 'came out' as the conservative parties secret weapon.

I'm feeling hatred, yes. But also, in a way, I feel vindicated. I've always seen a link between posing, shitty pop bands comprised of young, rich blonde males with exaggerated testacles, and the right wing.

Especcially busted. Especcially this stupid music thats supposed to sound like music thats supposed to be punk, that has no fucking brains whatsoever, that...you get the picture.

But now its been made concrete. They support an authoritarian, uber-traditional, non rebellious school of thought.

They basically support the Outer Church, and no, they're not going round actually saying "stop letting asylum seekers in the country" or "unemployed people get on your bike", but they nearly could be.

Not likely to effect the outcome of the election, though, considering most of Busted's fans are ineligible to vote. Being as they are either under 12, in prison or insane.

This certainly speaks of some crazy-ass forward planning on behalf of the Conservative party..

Can't you just imagine some meeting at central office; "think about it minister, the children will be OURS!" etc.

Pff Busted are old hat these days, they don't fit in at all - too old for the kids and trying to be real/edgy with the boozing and um Thunderbirds soundrack...

Everyone knows that McFly are the future.

"I don't really like politics but I've always grown up with their views - the Tories' way of doing things. I just prefer it."

Dear Charlie,
If you could count, I believe you'd find that you've actually grown up with Labour's way of doing things. They have been in power since you were about 12 years old and since you don't really like politics now I doubt that you can even properly recall John Major. Call yourself Simpson, I call you sheeple.

Yours, Anna de L.

Anna, I think he was talking about his family life. And anyway, Blair's a horrible tory boy at heart. "The Labour way of doing things" will always mean something quite different to me.

Busted! The new Spice Girls!

As PR goes, it's a bit fucked whichever way you look at it. Basically the guy said "I'm a rich selfish cunt, and the Tories are there for people like me". Doesn't really help the caring image Nosferatu's been trying to put across, does it?

Noooooooooooooooooooo, you mean I deliberately misinterpreted a completely vague political statement?

It kind of crossed my mind, but you seemed pretty ernest about it, Anna.

Might be an idea to invest in some flashing neon, you know, WOOOO SERIOUSLY JOKING OVER HERE. And a klaxxon.

The really annoying one said ' From the financial point of view, I'm a fucking tory boy, me'. Perhaps the conservatoives actually enjoy being out of power...

fair enough, no?

unless of course you think each member of Busted is more annoying than the other two.

Dear Anna DeL,

If you work it out, Busted have actually grown up with New Labour's way of doing things, which means they are correct when they say they've grown up with the Tory was of doing things.
Hugs,
Our Lady etc etc etc.

Don't fret, Haus - fresh-faced chimp Charlie Simpson's just taking a break from top pop combo Busted to work on his "serious rock band", Fightstar. Read all about it from the world's greatest music weekly!!!

I utterly blame the one who dyed his hair darker for this loss to popular music. Busted cannot survive when one of them looks like this:

(fascist)

and another like this:

The top one looks like he's halfway through some New Romantic makeover to remind himself of the last time Thatcher was in power. The bottom one looks like he's been drawn by Philip Bond.
