Age of Aquarius

I don’t know much about this Age of Aquarius and maybe a few of you can help. I think it’s supposed to be here already, right? Or should be getting here? What exactly does this entail? What does it mean to you? How does this tie in (if at all) to Prophesies by Nostradamus or Edgar Cayce?

Is it supposed to usher in an era of peace (like in the song from the 70’s) or war and destruction (like with the recent hurricanes, earthquakes, volcanoes, and the Bush)?

Well, in Peter J. Carroll's "Liber Null & Psychonaut" the author states that he thinks the age could go two ways, either an age of peace/evolution/heightened consciousness, or go backwards and usher in a new dark age of tyranny/the black king/fascism, all that nice stuff. that's all I really know about the topic.

Does it have to do with Horus? The last age was Pisces, right, the age of Christ and Osiris? I recall a line in "The Invisibles" about that age being over.

I wasn't going to post in here because I don't know much of this, but I Googled and found a site that will probably interest you so I thought I'd give you the link and let you decide for yourself :

Adishakti.org

Yeah in The Invisibles the age of Osiris and Christ was over, in the the text in that link I just skipped through the next age is for the destroying of dogmatic religions and for us to seek for the truth within ourselves instead. This ties in with the fire aspect of Dane's Horus Avatar aswell.

On the negative :

Another problem that characterises the New Age is an absolute lack of critical thinking. People will believe all sorts of nonsense, and are very susceptible to negative suggestions from formations in the lower astral plane. A good example of this is the incredible popularity of the belief in catastrophic "earth changes". This has absolutely no basis in fact, and there will be a lot a red faces when the millennium rolls around and California and Japan and where-ever else hasn't sunk beneath the waves, the earth hasn't tilted on it's axis, people's DNA hasn't been miraculously transformed, etc etc

And to save the best till last :

This Golden Age is destined to destroy all religious regimes and free the minds of ignorance and delusion forever. Once enlightened, each human being will begin his or her individual journey within, and strive to become the new race of super conscious humans awakening seekers of Truth and the eternal Spirit, healing peoples of many tongues and nations in the process. In this new millennium there will be no more falsehoods or derision, but spiritual golden living and dreams of third-eye vision. The Human Family is truly entering the Age of mystic revelations and the mind's true liberation.

Like I said I wouldn't of posted but that link is pretty informative, and there's other links it gives aswell, you could probably learn quite a bit by looking around there. As for whether or not I believe in it myself I don't know, I think it all depends on how many of us, as a race, are prepared to do what that text says and journey within for the answers.

Thanks, Jack. So it's gonna be a lot like the end of Promethea, where the "world" ends but people still have to deal with it individually.

Can I just say that calling the previous age 'Osiris and Christ' doesn't seem to hold water with the content of history. Sure, we have churches everywhere, but what has that to do, other than name, with either deity? seems to me the previous age was all about hetero-male phallic conquest, going back a good couple of thousand years. The conquest plunder engines are still at it in my opinion. If I was to asign a deity it would be Set or Iblis or any of the other names for it.

I think things are changing now. The economy of power is shifting from the emanations of the King to rise of the multiminded communal individualists. The thrill of control giving way to the information rush of learning and understanding.

Yikes, what a ramble... must be bored today, lol!

Horus is just an angry kid. Aren't we all a bit bored of teenage angst these days? Can't we get back to fun, I like fun
