Is the whole world sick today?

Plums commented to me earlier that the whole world is sick, and I am afraid Plums could be right. I hardly ever get sick, but here I am with sniffles and plugged ears. Keggers is sick too, and so are a whole slew of people!

What is happening? I heard a theory, I think from Keggers, that we are all getting sick in order to dissapate a particularly destructive force, or bad karma, so that no more natural disasters happen. Of course, maybe that would mean laying off the Contact-C if we don't want Mount St.Helens to blow. Got a hankie?

Myself and everyone I know pretty much seem to have a constant on-the-verge cold, and have done all bloody year. I think it's a slow-burning but virulent common cold variant in it's incubus stage. When it finally unleashes it's full wrath it'll make ebola look like zits.

Yes, most of the office (including me) snuffles continuously at the mo. I'd assumed it was connected to the relatively abrupt drop in temperature.

Feeling pretty good over here, although I don't usually get *ill* - every so often my body shuts down from overwork and exhaustion, but that's about it. On the other hand, I'm about to bounce over to the US for a couple of nights and back, which always leaves me feeling a bit ropy, so if there is anything going around, I daresay I will get it.

It's fucking pissing it down here as we catch the tail end of whatever grant's latest hurricane is called. Ivan I think. I got soaked on the way back from the train station (less than a mile) and I *had* an umbrella. So I might get ill tomorrow.

There was even a mini tornado that threw some shopping carts around apparently. And they damaged cars! Cars! Cars were damaged! Inconceivable! Sue God!
