I was there, without even having had the benefit of reading this thread before hand!
And Haus, I actually put "Have a cream tea at Fortnums or the Ritz" on my list of 104 things to do in 2004 ('cos 2004 things would just be unwieldy!), but ended up compromising with a cream tea at Thorpness, instead (which was just like one of the villages from The Avengers). So, I am totally up for having another attempt at a cream tea at Fortnums or the Ritz. I doubt they'll be playing apocalyptic heavy metal there, too (which is almost a shame, in a way) |
