Yuck, I need a little help (and a little chicken soup)

Hey Folks,

I'm sick. I have a scratchy throat and feel achy and have congestion issues.

This especially sucks because I don't have the energy to do any workings or work out at all with this stupid cold-flu thingie.

Any magical suggestions, spells, charms, sigils, whatever to make me feel better?

When I feel ill - cold, sore throat etc. I try something I read once, run a hot bath and imagine the illness as black steam rising from you imagine a bottle and imagine the black steam floating into the bottle and then i picture the bottle flying into space and into a black hole, always seems to work for me....

No need for any comments about this being fluffy.. its understood...

On a purely physical level, anything that heats the body is a good thing- the bugs don't like heat. Grab yourself some fresh fruit (kiwis have the most vits, BTW), and some echinacea.

Try making some "magick potion"- make a hot drink and then envisage it as being made from rare herbs an' suchlike. Focus on a figure associated with medicine and healing, like Getafix the Druid.

Illness can sometimes help bring on some pretty interesting dreams. Try a little meditation or prayer. This doesn't have to take much energy, and if you end up drifting to sleep, you might discover a new experience.

In fact the sharp-eyed child who brings home the first bottle of the season (which coincides with our "winter") gets a treat from his mother, who alerts the neighbors; and everyone goes out looking for the little bottles that have suddenly appeared --as if by magic-- on the mossy slopes surrounding the village, and there are specially trained pigs to root out the hard-to-find ones. The pigs have to wear collars to keep them from swallowing their finds, though the well-trained pig knows that he will be rewarded with a scrap of bottle at home. Some people eat the bottles as well --claiming that it’s the most nutritious part-- but most people slice them in half and scoop out the crunchy insides with a spoon.
