Some bastard ran off with my copy of Skin, from around the same time as Big Numbers.

Mad little comic about a thalidomide skinhead who goes batshit crazy after fainling to cop off with a fit bird cos he's too self conscious about his arms (after puffing a joint), and goes postal at the offices of the Thalidomide drug manufacturers giving them an axe-induced taste of his birthright.

What a mad comic. I'd love to get hold of another copy, I would wring the shit's neck who offed with my copy (along with all of Frank Miller's mad 'Hard Boiled', first prints. Wanker!)

Never lend comics out, people.

Tundra republished it a while back - should be readily available. Corking stuff with all too rare McCarthy artwork.

i'm sure there's still hundreds of copies of skin in a box upstairs at the comic shop in brighton, those hordes of eager customers still stuck in traffic or something. every so often a few copies appear on the crapracks - anybody want one? [this is the same shop that is still trying to shift the thousand-plus copies of a small killing that they ordered in - you can get a copy of it for fifty pee, or free if you buy like two other books.]

skin, if i remember the hype correctly, is 'the most important comic you will ever read' that's perhaps pushing it, but it is dead good - mcarthy really never got a chance to cut that loose again, the politics was an eye opener for the twelve (?) year old me, and you can just hear the liquidator playing in the background as you read it.
